Texas A&M barely defeated Baylor in overtime yesterday. This is an improvement over last year, when the Aggies lost to the Bears in overtime. For Prizzo Skeezy readers unfamiliar with Big 12 football, Baylor is the perennial conference doormat and averages one win a season.
To be fair to Mr. Franchione, it is possible this Baylor football team is better than usual. After all, they did start the season by going 3 and 0, which is probably the first time since 1845 that the Baylor football won three games in a single season. However, in a classic sign of poor coaching, the Aggies were flagged for 8 penalties totaling 61 yards. Unacceptable.

I’m afraid you’re right and they really are that bad. Very disappointing, as this really should have been a great year for McNeal and the rest of the team.

All we in Alabama can say is, thanks, and ROLL TIDE #6 in the nation. WE’RE BACK.
big daddy says:
This is what the coach did at Alabama when he gave up on us, the team looked sloppy like he did not work with them. So the bottom line is: watch out, he is probably going to leave you all high and dry. I just want to thank TEXAS A&M for taking him off our hands. ROLL TIDE FROM ALL OF US!
Kevin says:
Can Coach Fran really be this bad? Can it really be that the guy doesn’t know which end is up? Perhaps he doesn’t know much about motivation. Could that be it? I had a college baseball coach who had a great answer; for any mistake you made he figured it was because you weren’t in good enough shape. It didn’t take me long to find motivation.
What gets me is how Alabama is now number six and A&M stinks. Bama fans are thanking us for taking Fran off their hands. That’s not a good sign. To me the guy on the “hot seat” ought to be Billy Byrne. Didn’t Pres. Gates say “you don’t win, you don’t coach here?” Rob Childress better hit the ground running. He might consider not sitting to close to Coach Fran in the cafeteria.

Roll tide… coach Fran is getting just what he deserves. He has no class and no idea what he left behind… Thanks to A&M for taking the S.O.B. away from The Capstone. Roll Tide. ‘Bama is #5 in the nation; bring on Tennesee.

Fran was a good coach at TCU because he had LT. He just gave him the ball 40+ times and let him do all the work. Fran is not that good of a coach and I’m an avid fan of college football and miss the days of the Wrecking Crew. TAMU needs to go after say a Mike Stoops to bring back the WC swagger and win some games. There is no way that A&M should be this bad.

The A&M football program is in shambles. What the hell are we paying for? As I see it, we’re not going to get anywhere with Mack Brown doing all that killer recruiting. Also, as a minority on the campus, I can understand why a minority athlete would not want to make College Station his home for 4-5 years. The racial tension & prejudice is horrible everywhere. Not just on campus, but in the metroploitan areas as well. I can’t wait until I get my engineering degree & am able to leave the hell hole that is A&M. Until then I will continue to study hard & cheer for the Aggie athletic teams. In the mean time, I will continue to deliver the Chinese fast food you rednecks crave. I always swirl my schlong in your hot ‘n’ sour soup & I always spit in your Jung Po chicken. Eat it up, Motherfuckers!
Saw 'em off says:
Coach Fran is the most overpaid coach in America. He is the worst thing that has happened to the Aggies with exception of the bonfire accident. 77-0 in year one against Oklahoma should have been a wake up call of things to come. He shows neither enthusiasm nor leadership. The wrecking crew days are over. Aggie alumni need to buy this guy out of his existing contract and send him on the open market. He will be happy along with the Aggie nation. It will be many years before the Aggies Saw’em off again.
Smoove D says:
I hear you Saw ‘Em Off. I’m thinking about setting up one of those Paypal donation thingies to buy out Franchione’s contract.
giggle 'em says:
That’s right, giggle ‘em. That is what has become of our beloved ags. It seems every team from Baylor to Tech has career offensive and defensive days against this program.
Is it the problem of our 115th ranked passing defense (better known as the Tor-”bust” defense), or the total lack of motivation our team seems to have. I would take 100 Slocum’s over this joke of a coaching staff any Saturday.
BAMA says:
I too want to thank A&M for getting Dennis out of Tuscaloosa. He has no class, and flat out lies to everyone - which doesn’t bother him as long as he gets paid more $$$. He is getting what he deserves - I just hate that it he had to bring down such a great program as A&M with him!
Roll Tide!
Jim4Bama says:
You don’t need to fire Fran-phoney, one morning you’ll wake up and he will have just disappeared. After all, it’s been 3 years….this has been a long stay for him.
T Martin says:
It’s foolish to continue to pursue the firing of Mr. Franchione when it’s Bill Byrne who won’t fix the problem. The TU fans are right - it’s Gary Arnell since there isn’t any D. Aarnell is just another tired old retread who can’t coach but A&M takes him in. His biggest asset to the program is he isn’t a threat to Mr. Franchione.
steve says:
Please don’t fire the fraudchione. You just had to have him. So keep him forever and apologize to Slocum. Sorry Boys be carefull of what you reach for.

As a 95 Aggie Grad and somone so used to seeing Aggies play well at Kyle Field. It made me sick to watch such a poor effort on Saturday. I am looking at their schedule and really doubt they have another victory coming. I wanted so badly to believe their win/performance against SWT/TX STATE was a fluke and wanted to blame the hurricane. But the Aggies are really that bad.
